CHILD SAFETY

OUR COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY

Health Staff Australia is committed to the safety, wellbeing and rights of every child and young person we support or come into contact with.

We have zero tolerance of child abuse.

We put the best interests of the child first in every decision. We listen to children, take them seriously and involve them in decisions about their supports. We work in partnership with families and carers, and we respect the culture and identity of every child, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Every worker who supports children holds a verified Working with Children Check, is screened and trained, and knows how to report a concern.

We act immediately on any concern that a child may be at risk and report it to the right authority.

We implement the ten NSW Child Safe Standards and keep improving how we keep children safe.

If you have a concern about a child's safety, call us on 1300 132 595.
